How we met:

In May 2006, Steve was visiting the town of Tropea (Southern Italy), for his second time, taking Italian language lessons

at the school where he had spent the summer before. But this trip would be much different…

His good friend, and Director of the school, Francesco, decided to put Steve in a class with one of his new teachers,

a beautiful Sicilian girl, Francesca. He knew the entire time, even before Steve arrived, that they would be a beautiful couple.

Steve had such an interest in his Italian heritage and learning the language, and Francesca loved studying English and American culture.

After group lessons, Steve opted for private lessons :)

After weeks of hesitating, because she was his teacher, he finally asked her to dinner.

The last few weeks of his trip, they got to know each other better, but then Steve had to return to America.

It was sad saying goodbye at the train station, after something has started between them.

But Steve promised her he would return……and only 1 ½ months later, he was back in school with Francesca.

The story really began there, and they spent the rest of the summer falling in love in beautiful Tropea.

Again, Steve had to return to America, and this time it was much harder to leave, but they now knew,

that they wanted to spend their lives together. Francesca wanted to leave and come to California with Steve that Friday, but it was not possible…..and you know why? ...Although she was ready to leave that very day…she didn’t have her passport yet !!!

So after a month in America, and both missing each other, Steve made the decision to move to Sicily, where Francesca had accepted a new

teaching job. They have lived and traveled together in Italy ever since. She came to America, to meet his family and friends,

and they soon understood why this was such a romantic story. Both families are very happy to be united in this marriage.

Now, they live in Palmi, a sea town in Calabria, and are planning this international wedding………

Come ci siamo conosciuti:

Maggio 2006: Steve è in visita a Tropea (Sud Italia) per la seconda volta, frequenta lezioni di Italiano nella stessa scuola dell’estate precedente

Villa dante school!  Ma questo viaggio sarà molto diverso…

Il suo migliore amico a Tropea e direttore della scuola, Francesco, decide  di mettere Steve in una classe con una delle sue nuove insegnanti,

una bella ragazza siciliana, Francesca. Aveva sempre saputo anche prima che Steve arrivasse, che sarebbero stati una bella coppia.

Steve è molto interessato alle sue origini italiane ed a imparare la lingua italiana, e Francesca adora studiare e stare a contatto con la cultura

inglese ed americana.

Cosi … dopo lezioni di gruppo, Steve opta per lezioni private ;)

… E  dopo settimane di  dubbi, perché lei è la sua insegnante , Steve finalmente la invita a cena.

Nelle ultime settimane di vacanza Steve e Francesca si conoscono meglio, ma poi lui deve tornare in America.  E’ triste salutarsi alla stazione,

dopo che già qualcosa è sbocciata fra i due. Ma Steve promette a Francesca di ritornare .… e solo dopo un mese e mezzo … è di nuovo

a scuola con Francesca J

E’ proprio adesso che comincia la storia e trascorrono il resto dell’estate innamorandosi sempre di più, nella bellissima Tropea.

Adesso Steve deve tornare in America e questa volta è molto più difficile lasciarsi, anche se ora sanno di voler vivere le loro vite insieme.

Ma proprio quel venerdì Francesca vuole partire con Steve, non vuole lasciarlo! Avvisa tutti che sta partendo, chiama la mamma perché vuole andare via con Steve e avvisa il suo direttore che sta lasciando il lavoro. Ma alla fine non può partire … e sapete perché???

Non ha il passaporto!!!

Dopo un mese in America, entrambi sentono la mancanza e Steve decide di trasferirsi in Sicilia, dove Francesca ha accettato

un nuovo lavoro come insegnante. Da allora vivono in Italia e di tanto in tanto viaggiano.

Lei è andata in America per incontrare la sua famiglia ed i suoi amici … so cool!! Ed hanno capito da subito perché questa 

è una storia romantica.

Entrambe le famiglie sono felici di essere insieme ed uniti in questo matrimonio.

SIAMO TROPPO FELICI!

Adesso abitiamo a Palmi!!! E stiamo organizzando il nostro speciale matrimonio!
